Row House is shared-walls developments, majorly built in cities with low space to accommodate people. This style of housing appeared first in the 16th century and in some parts of the world during the industrialisation period. These were developed at that time to accommodate factory workers. Hence, they were developed near the city centers around industries.

Row houses developed during the industrialisation period were very shabby and dingy as the basic human requirements were neglected. Majority of the houses didn’t have any proper ventilation and sanitation facilities. With time, although the layouts changed for good but even now, many row houses are shabbily built.

These days row house developers are hiring effective, well-experienced architects to ensure good design and layout of the development. Modern Row House Designs have the basic facilities covered and subsequently, more and more workers and employees in urban cities are ready to acquire these row houses.

Largely these houses have similar facade as they are developed in rows. They are very symmetric and similar in shape, size , design , floor plan and colour. Primarily, 2-Storey and 3-Storey row houses are preferred. The layout and design are developed to accommodate small families.

CHILDCARE CENTER FLOOR PLANS IN AUSTRALIA

To initiate your design and development process for a childcare center you must be well aware of the childcare center floor plans and here in this blog, we will discuss a few spaces that should be kept while designing your floor plan and should not be discarded.

These spaces are generally missed and here we will discuss only those spaces that are crucial but missed at times.

1. NURSE’S STATION
2. STAFF SPACE
3. LAUNDRY
4. DISCUSSION CUBICLES

Nurse’s Station

Often ignored, a medical room is much needed in daycare space to ensure good health and well being of toddlers. Children are prone to infection and therefore, first aid rooms and proper nurses’ station should be given attention.

Staff Space

Staff is very important and a proper staff space where they can keep their belongings, sit back and plan and do other important stuff is essential.

Laundry

Laundry space is important to clean clothes in case children spoil it. Washing machine and other detergents can be kept here and should be made inaccessible by children.

Discussion Cubicles

At times, it’s required to discuss important things with parents or a child or two and therefore a discussion room or a small cubicle if planned in floor layout is no harm.
