Terrace Houses Design Plans

TERRACE HOUSES DESIGN PLANS

Terrace Houses appeared in the 16th century and since then they have become a very crucial part of urban areas and cities where the land space is often limited.

There are a few spaces that the design of every terraced house plan should accommodate. Let’s take a look at them.

LIVING ROOM

A living room with a minimum area of 16 sqm to 20 sqm is preferable. Living rooms should be large enough so that the whole family can accommodate and watch television and have dinner, lunch etc together.

MASTER BEDROOM

A master bedroom should have an area of around 11 sqm to 14 sqm. There should be proper ventilation space and enough space to accommodate a bed and other essential furniture pieces.

KITCHEN

One of the most essential spaces of every house, people like it spacious and therefore the area should be around 6 sqm to 8 sqm.

PRIVATE STAIRCASE

There is no harm in having a public staircase but a private scare is also important. This helps people to move from one level to another even in extreme weather conditions. Private Staircase is also important for security and safety purposes.

WASHING ROOMS

There should be at least one washroom on each level. At times there is just one bathroom in the entire unit and that often leads to discomfort.

HIGHER CEILINGS

Higher ceilings make the place look bigger and gives more breathing space. So homes with higher ceilings are preferred more.
